Adrienne J. Breslin, Esq. is a seasoned litigation attorney with more than twenty years of experience representing employers, insurers, and insureds in complex workers’ compensation and insurance-related matters. In September 2025, Ms. Breslin joined Shanahan Law Offices, bringing a depth of trial experience and strategic insight gained from both private practice and senior in-house roles.
Immediately prior to joining the firm, Ms. Breslin served as Staff Counsel for a workers’ compensation insurance carrier, where she litigated workers’ compensation claims throughout Pennsylvania. She managed a high-volume caseload of actively litigated matters, prepared and presented evidence at hearings and trial depositions, evaluated claims for settlement, and negotiated cost-effective resolutions. Ms. Breslin’s practice focused on developing strategic litigation plans to minimize exposure and achieve favorable outcomes.
Ms. Breslin previously spent over a decade as Deputy General Counsel for a workers’ compensation insurance company, where she maintained an active litigation role while overseeing outside defense counsel in the handling of complex, catastrophic, and high-exposure claims. She evaluated liability and damages, assessed reserves, analyzed settlement value, and developed litigation guidelines and mediation programs designed to improve consistency and efficiency in case handling.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Breslin practiced as a trial attorney with a large insurance defense firm, representing national companies, insurers, self-insured employers, and third-party administrators in all phases of workers’ compensation litigation. Her experience included the defense of fatality claims and matters involving serious physical, psychological, and occupational injuries. She also practiced insurance bad faith defense and general civil litigation.
Ms. Breslin earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from The Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University, and her Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University. She is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
